Overview
TradeTuning automates parameter optimization for TradingView's Strategy Tester. It cycles through combinations of your strategy's input parameters, running a backtest for each one and automatically capturing the resulting performance metrics (profit, win rate, drawdown, Sharpe/Sortino ratios, and a set of deeper risk-analysis figures such as Expectancy, Kelly-based position sizing, and Risk of Ruin) into a sortable, filterable results table. Finished runs can be exported as a self-contained interactive HTML report.
It's built for traders and strategy developers on TradingView who want to test many parameter combinations for a strategy without manually re-running the Strategy Tester by hand for each one - from retail traders fine-tuning a single indicator setting, to more systematic traders sweeping large parameter grids and comparing dozens of candidate configurations at once.
On the privacy and permissions side, the extension requests storage/unlimitedStorage to save your optimization settings and results locally so a run can be paused or reviewed later, tabs to run and read results from the TradingView tab during a cycle, sidePanel to power its side panel interface (requiring Chrome 114+), and alarms for timing parts of the automated cycle.
